GIRLS Generalized Iterative Record Linkage System; a computer software system built for the medical research community that analyzes records from two files as either truly linked or unlinkable; it accepts comparison rules as input and proposes matched records as output; the user generalizes or revises his rules, updates the transmission coefficients and iterates the process as desired.
