5.1 Lexical browse list. If the name grouping expert wants to process the name spellings in frequency order from themost common to the rarest, s/he may select the lexical browse list in frequency order. S/he may optionally select actual spelling, as well as whatever codes and forms may be defined at the time, in direct or reverse order. Regular spelling order brings together similar spellings where the difference is near the end. Inverted spelling brings together similar spellings that differ at the beginning. For viewing members of groups together the expert may select whatever group code or form s/he may desire to serve as the browse order. With each spelling there is an indication of its group, category, gender, culture, derivation, and other attributes.
