characteristic of a culture whose name system (set of PS-RULES) has its personal name phrase in two main categories: given name and surname with that being their normal spoken order; the term e. is based on the fact that most of Europe has such a system; cf monotypic, sinotypic, Chapter 1, §3, ¶1
