a number expressing the value of the day in the month or of the year in the era; the c.n. appears first after a month name in the day of year phrase, described in PS-RULE DP2, where it may be followed with a comma before the year name; the c.n. also appears in DP3 as a realization of the year name, in which case it may also follow a slash; as a numeric expression for the value of the day it may appear before the month name where it is generated in DP4; the Korean calendar uses c. n. to designate the year in ODP2, the month in ODP3, and the day in ODP4
